A. Drivers are only allowed to drive a certain number of hours per day before they must sleep. Establishing the fact that the log was properly kept is vital to evaluating if violation of the law contributed to the accident.

Whether or not you did obtain the driver’s log after the truck accident you were involved in and whether or not the driver was over their allotted hours, contact a Lynnwood truck accident lawyer at our firm today for a free legal consultation. (1) Any person requested or signaled to stop by a law enforcement officer for a traffic infraction has a duty to stop.

(3) Any person requested to identify himself or herself to a law enforcement officer pursuant to an investigation of a traffic infraction has a duty to identify himself or herself and give his or her current address.

Failing to stop for police is not only a felony criminal offense, but it can, and often does, result in serious injuries to people across the country. postheadericon Lynnwood Rules of the Road: Flashing Signals

Rules of the Road Washington: 46.61.065. Flashing signals

In this chapter of the Lynnwood Rules of the Road, the laws for abiding by flashing signals are identified. It’s very common that obstruction of a flashing signal can cause severe injuries and even deaths on Lynnwood roadways.

(1) Whenever an illuminated flashing red or yellow signal is used in a traffic sign or signal it shall require obedience by vehicular traffic as follows:

(a) FLASHING RED (STOP SIGNAL). When a red lens is illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles shall stop at a clearly marked stop line, but if none, before entering a marked crosswalk on the near side of the intersection, or, if none, then at the point nearest the intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the intersection, and the right to proceed shall be subject to the rules applicable after making a stop at a stop sign.

(b) FLASHING YELLOW (CAUTION SIGNAL). When a yellow lens is illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles may proceed through the intersection or past such signal only with caution.

(2) This section shall not apply at railroad grade crossings. Conduct of drivers of vehicles approaching railroad grade crossings shall be governed by the rules as set forth in RCW 46.61.340.

If a violation of a flashing signal law or other law in Washington’s Rules of the Road caused you harm, there’s a very good chance you’re eligible to receive financial compensation.
